The Evolution of a Save-the-Date

Save-the-dates are an ideal opportunity to show guests your own personal style as a couple. More informal than your wedding invitations, save-the-dates give you the chance to grab the attention of everyone anticipating your wedding in a fun, creative way.

At Art by Ellie, our clients’ styles are as varied and exceptional as the wide range of designs we offer them. This becomes even more evident every time we work one-on-one with a bride and groom to create the perfect save-the-dates for their big day.

Meet Brittany and Eric. Their engagement photos by June Bug Co. were so stunning and we wanted to capture their personalities, spark, and elegant tastes when designing their custom save-the-dates. In the process, we never intended to design so many variations, but every photo just happened to be better than the last, the orientation and spacing were just right, the colors were beautiful, and the ideas kept flowing. Check out the multitude of proof options Brittany and Eric had to choose from…

THIS is the beauty of working one-on-one with a designer for your save-the-dates. You simply cannot achieve this level of variation and customization with a template from a website.

Ultimately, the bride and groom settled on the gorgeous custom design shown here (shown filtered from our Instagram page). We collectively felt that this look not only told their story of meeting while attending the same university, but also worked well with their chosen wedding colors of coral and gold (see the pop of gold glitter in the center highlighting their wedding date.)

The couple also opted to add a little extra personal touch by allowing us to create a custom rubber address stamp for them, which was not only perfect for save-the-date return addresses but also for the formal invitations and thank you notes, and remains a charming memento for the couple for many years to come.

Now is the time to design your save-the-dates with Art by Ellie!
